Annie and Justin

Annie..aka Sleepyhead

Born & raised & schooled in Hong Kong until age of 14; the youngest of the 4 siblings with 3 older brothers! Yes, you heard her, 3 brothers! She is also the only girl in the Chan’s family. Super-duper outgoing, talkative kind of gal.

Thanks for the many blessing from god and her parents, she was able to travel overseas on her own and lives and breathes the air in a different country.. She left a few footprints here and there, from Minnesota to South Carolina then to New York and now she works and resides in the sunny SoCal.

Although she has been away from home and from her parents for a loooong time, she has always kept one thing close to her heart: she never forget her parents back home in Hong Kong.

She’s grateful of what she has today: god, family (minus the part where she can’t be with her parents physically), friends, job security in the current market, things she enjoys doing, and last but not least: her loved one, Justin, who she is going to start a new chapter of her life with.

Annie & Justin, together..

First Meet: in the cyberspace, in the club, friend of a friend of a friend…. lol no seriously, the official 1:1 meeting was “high tea” at the cafe SPOT in Alhambra

First Date: took Justin about 2-3 months to ask Annie out officially on a date after their first official meeting. Justin took Annie to an exclusive member-only landmark – the Magic Castle in Hollywood

First Trip: Catalina Island in November ’05.  We arrived stylishly on the island via helicopter (our 1st helicopter ride), followed by a submarine ride, island tour, walking along the shores of Avalon, and a nice romantic dinner to top it all off.  We returned to LA by boat, via the famous “Catalina Express”.  (p.s. our trips are not always this exciting!  LOL….but give Justin some credit for being such a romantic)

First Anniversary (written by Justin): This is a tough one!  Til’ this day, Annie always seems to get confused that our first date was on April 25th.  But no!  Justin is absolutely sure that it is supposed to be April 27th.  So we decided (after much debate) to go with the 27th, and celebrated our 1-year anniversary on April 27, 2006.  Justin even gave Annie a picture plaque (with the date inscribed on it) as a gift to celebrate…and also to serve as a constant reminder that April 27th is indeed the day we first met.

Lakers Fan: Since Annie met Justin, Justin had converted Annie into a Lakers fan also

as you can see, together at the lakers game

Other Facts of Justin..

He LOVES LA Lakers, i mean Lakers games, Lakers shirts, Lakers sleeping pants, ok you got the picture!  He would probably marry Kobe if he had a chance!!!

His color: black, blue, gray, the darker side of the Hex color family 😛 (Annie is trying to sneak in some pink in his clothing selection and so far it’s seems to be working :P)

His sports: push ups (i mean really! he once did 1,000 push ups a day! He’s crazy!)

His video games “collections”: collects video games but he doesn’t play much of it. He claims that it’s b/c of Annie! (Annie said she doubts that’s the truth! 😛 )

His Food: RICE!!! not just one bowl of rice, he MUST have a few bowls of rice! He often negotiates with Annie how many cups of rice he is allowed to make.

The conversation goes something like this:

[J] can i make 2 cups?
[A] hm, 1.25
[J] hm, how about 1.75?
[A] that’s too much..but i guess you can do 1.5, i will just bring the leftover for work the next day.

At the end of the dinner, nothing left and no leftovers for Annie!!!

His expertise: Washing dishes (Annie claims she doesn’t need a dish washer, because she already have one 😀 )
